This is a small poetry club that started as a poetry email exchange between two friends. Our goal is to read a poem everyday, and this blog is one way to help keep us accountable. There is only one valid rule in poetry club: there are no rules in poetry club. Read any poem, in any order, with any or no interactions. You decide. We only suggest you read poetry!

From time to time The clouds give rest To the moon-beholders.
Unlike the sun, we can observe and stair at the moon as it travels around us.
Once in Africa I was traveling in the back of a truck at night. I watched the moon rise, as I did many nights. Then a while later there was a mountain with a flat face and as the truck drove around the curving road, the moon slowly revealed herself almost as if raise from the side. You had to be there, and I was.
The Yin and Yang- coolness, rest, relaxation....
ReplyDeleteIf you "behold" and give attention to rest- rest as an active pursuit.
I love the imagery of the moon appearing behind the clouds here.
