To Meditate
To meditate does not mean to fight with a problem.
To meditate means to observe.
Your smile proves it.
It proves that you are being gentle with yourself,
that the sun of awareness is shining in you,
that you have control of your situation.
You are yourself,
and you have acquired some peace.
To meditate means to observe.
Your smile proves it.
It proves that you are being gentle with yourself,
that the sun of awareness is shining in you,
that you have control of your situation.
You are yourself,
and you have acquired some peace.
- Thich Nhat Hahn
Meditation seems to be a practice of life. If we can, indeed, allow ourselves to sit for 5 minutes each morning, then maybe we can also be patient and loving enough to smile and be kind and find those moments in how we live our lives.
ReplyDeleteThe meditation I have been following is from www.sharonsaltzberg.com. She puts out this challenge for the month of February each year and has written numerous books on the topic. I am really enjoying each 5 minute long guided meditation each morning. Check it out?
Meditation is a great form of agency.
ReplyDeleteThe sun is an appropriate symbol, a giant mass of energy, practical infinite in comparison to human life.
I'll check out the meditation. It sounds cool
