24 April: "Dream" by Langston Hughes
Dreams by Langston Hughes, 1902 - 1967 Hold fast to dreams For if dreams die Life is a broken-winged bird That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams For when dreams go Life is a barren field Frozen with snow.
I used this poem with my students, and we send it for them to write a graphic poem. Itwent well. It's short, but powerful with excellent figurative language
