This is a small poetry club that started as a poetry email exchange between two friends. Our goal is to read a poem everyday, and this blog is one way to help keep us accountable. There is only one valid rule in poetry club: there are no rules in poetry club. Read any poem, in any order, with any or no interactions. You decide. We only suggest you read poetry!
I have been studying the difference between solitude and loneliness, telling the story of my life to the clean white towels taken warm from the dryer. I carry them through the house as though they were my children asleep in my arms.
Short and sweet. Solitude is awesome but loneliness is devastating.
The towels are taking of the place of children which seems a bit abnormal. Where is the human family? Are they gone? Studying and storytelling are positive but the towels- Is that a sign of solitude or loneliness? Is it a healthy or tormenting activity
