This is a small poetry club that started as a poetry email exchange between two friends. Our goal is to read a poem everyday, and this blog is one way to help keep us accountable. There is only one valid rule in poetry club: there are no rules in poetry club. Read any poem, in any order, with any or no interactions. You decide. We only suggest you read poetry!
The poem never states that the person the narrator is addressing is looking for Oneness. The 2nd person in the poem, the reader, is presumably looking for knowledge but ignoring Oneness and looking within.
What I microcosm for life! The bigger picture of not knowing what we are really looking for... Of course if we did, life would probably be a lot easier. Maybe more boring too?
What do others think? Is life more about trying to figure out life? As in the trying part, or something else like Oneness or knowing thyself?
"You already have everything you will need"...."stop searching so hard"....."and uncover the mirror"
