This is a small poetry club that started as a poetry email exchange between two friends. Our goal is to read a poem everyday, and this blog is one way to help keep us accountable. There is only one valid rule in poetry club: there are no rules in poetry club. Read any poem, in any order, with any or no interactions. You decide. We only suggest you read poetry!

1 Sept 2019: “Each Patience...” by Allie Jo Dreadfulwater
Each Patience
goes around the
Moon in Fire
and in Rune-
Waiting to
announce Itself
in all of
itsʻ Illume!
I love the personification and image of Patience, like an enlightened being. This poem is 20 words! but it packs a lot of meaning, story, and ideas in those short 8 lines.
Rune is a fun word. I like the multiple meanings associated with rune, but my favorite is, "a mark or letter of mysterious or magic significance."
