1 Aug: "To my quick ear..." by Emily Dickinson

TO my quick ear the leaves conferred;
  The bushes they were bells;
I could not find a privacy
  From Nature’s sentinels.

In cave if I presumed to hide,
  The walls began to tell;
Creation seemed a mighty crack
  To make me visible.

  1. The themes of Nature throughout her poetry have found many comforts in the swelling of my heart. She has such a way befriending and personifying such simple aspects "..the leaves conferred"...showing the many connections in which we are all One and the same life...made of the same particles and energy and connected through facets that we can come to know and understand if we just Go Outside, spend time in Nature, and breathe in each and every majesty and normality that circulates...always so stunning, she is.
